My summer at OGC Energy as an intern.
Today we say Thank You to Hollie Critchlow, Hollie joined us for the summer as an intern from Loughborough University. Over the last 10 weeks Hollie took on the role as Technical Assistant and worked with the team in several projects.

“300 hours sounds like a lot of time but when it’s broken down into 50 days or 10 weeks its really not such a long time to go into a new workplace and tackle new projects.
From the first day at OGC Energy I was given projects that fitted and tested my skill set; from coding in macros to writing training documents and I feel like I was able to complete useful projects in such a short space of time.
My main project while completing my internship was writing a product design specification (PDS) for a client who are aiming to redesign a corrosion inspection product into a new portable device for the European market. This project allowed me to write a full design specification, something I had touched on my Product Design Engineering course at university but had never had the time or need to do before, but now I know just how much work and how many specifications you must read before you can even start a design!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at OGC Energy for making my summer placement fun and educational, I’ve loved working here and I hope to see you all in the future!” – Hollie Critchlow
As Hollie returns to Loughborough University we want to wish her all the best and we want to thank her for her contribution during the summer.
